Modern networks generate enormous volumes of traffic. In complex environments with multiple TAPs, SPAN ports, and monitoring tools, duplicate packets are inevitable. Left unchecked, they inflate bandwidth consumption, force your monitoring tools to process the same data twice, and introduce noise into the analytics you rely on to detect threats and optimize performance. The SmartNA DE-Dupe solves this at the source. Operating at full line rate without external co-processors, it identifies and removes duplicate packets in real time before they reach your monitoring or security tools. With 48GB of DDR5 hash memory, a 16M packet window, and support for packets up to 9K jumbo frames, it handles the most demanding, high-throughput environments without compromise.


Six configurable duplicate detection templates give you precise control over how de-duplication is applied — from Layer 2 MAC-level matching through to full packet inspection including payload. A tunable de-duplication window (5–500ms) ensures you eliminate stale duplicates without discarding legitimate retransmissions. And with full packet broker capabilities built in - including aggregation, filtering, and session-aware load balancing - the SmartNA DE-Dupe does the work of multiple tools in a single 1RU appliance.
