With its many features, the SmartNA 1U Chassis is the most flexible chassis available on the TAP market today. Housing up to four SmartNA modular TAPs and a single SmartNA Management / Expansion module, this 1U device allows you to add a permanent TAP solution into your datacenter while still allowing for total flexibility.

With its aggregating and regenerating backplane, the SmartNA 1U Chassis allows you to TAP up to eight network links and aggregate all of the data to a single monitoring port or TAP a single link and regenerate the traffic to up to 14 monitoring ports. Because each modular TAP in the SmartNA System is fully configurable, there are endless possibilities for configuring the system to meet the specific needs of your datacenter.

There are unlimited configurations for segmenting the aggregating/regenerating backplane of the SmartNA 1U Chassis. This feature allows you to aggregate traffic from some or all of the modular TAPs and sends it back out some or all of the monitoring ports. Because the modules are fully configurable to become TAP ports, SPAN ports or monitoring ports the possibilities are endless.
