Now we are bringing that same commitment and expertise to a new unclassified forum that will allow a broader audience to participate in the dialogue about U.S. intelligence and the challenges it faces and the opportunities it presents. On June 7-8, 2011, in the Marriott Riverwalk Hotel in San Antonio, TX, AFCEA Intelligence will present the AFCEA National Intelligence Forum. This unclassified, two-day event will bring together government and industry experts to discuss cyber intelligence tradecraft.

For over 30 years, AFCEA Intelligence, backed by a strong partnership of government and industry supporters, has sponsored highly regarded classified symposia and conferences in Washington D.C. for intelligence professionals.

The new AFCEA National Intelligence Forum is different. Not only is it being held on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas, it also is an unclassified event reaching out to a wider community of government, industry, and academia members to help them better understand topics of significance to the U.S. Intelligence Community and national defense.

The theme of the inaugural Forum is Cyber Intelligence Unclassified Tradecraft. For two days, AFCEA Intelligence will gather some of the Nation’s leading authorities on intelligence and cyber to explore how unclassified intelligence tradecraft and a public/private partnership can help to strengthen cyber defense. Attendees will learn not only about the threat, but how analytic methods can effectively be leveraged against all cyber unclassified data sets, thereby more effectively identifying, understanding and warning of developing threat vectors.
